Good Morning All!

I just recently found some pretty interesting information about diabetes in correlation with a dietary supplement that I have had personal experience with. Now, some of you may have heard of Juice Plus +. For those of you who haven’t, it is a whole food supplement containing 17 different fruits, vegetables, and grains in powder concentrate form.

Juice Plus + is intended for people who do not consume the proper amount (7-13 servings) of fruits and vegetables on a daily basis; however, this supplement is not intended to replace a healthy diet. Many diabetics turn to Juice Plus + as a way to help their body function more efficiently, but an issue arises for some.

When diabetics first introduce Juice Plus + into their diets, sometimes they actually experience a spike in their blood sugar levels. While this may seem odd, it makes sense scientifically. People’s bodies are not used to functioning with the presence of more nutrients, and it takes time (sometimes a week or two) for the body to stabilize and reach homeostasis. The body goes through a detoxification process before it can utilize the many benefits of Juice Plus +.

Personally, I experienced only experienced a few symptoms of detoxification, like slight headache and mild fatigue when I first began taking Juice Plus +. However, as I soon found out, Juice Plus+ is a fantastic regulator of the body. In various case studies following diabetics, a significant improvement was seen in regard to reliance on insulin shots. Juice Plus+ is a source of soluble fiber, which is the main reason why diabetics find themselves needing fewer insulin shots. Soluble fiber helps with glucose transport and provides people with various other benefits.
